Golden Eagle Dinners…

Scouting and heroism go hand-in-hand. Scouts have always looked up to role models they consider heroes, inside and outside our movement. Scouts have been heroes, too – some on a grand stage, some in quiet ways, and that’s no accident. Having heroes is an important step on the road to becoming one.  Did you know, 11 of the 12 men who walked on the moon were Scouts?  Since the space program began, more than half of all American astronauts have had Scouting backgrounds. Every Scout promises to be brave, and these Scouts – these heroes – show us what bravery really is. 2018 Family Friends of Scouting

Family Friends of Scouting The Central Florida Council would like to congratulate the following units that have reached their 2018 Family Friends of Scouting unit goal.  If your unit has not had their 2018 Family Friends of Scouting presentation please talk to your Cubmaster, Scoutmaster or Venturing Crew Adviser:   The Central Florida Council serves over 20,000 youth members in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Brevard, Volusia, Lake and Flagler Counties.  Financial resources are needed to provide the facilities at our camp and our service center, support materials for our volunteers, programs and activities for our Scouts and Scouters, and professional leadership for our communities.   The annual Family Friends of Scouting Campaign focuses on raising a significant portion of this budget through families who participate in Scouting. Funds are raised by coordinated presentations made by volunteers to families of Scouts at a special unit event such as a Cub Scout Pack Blue & Gold Banquet or Boy Scout Troop Court of Honor.       Please click here to make your...

If you didn’t know this year Camp is open to all boys and girls entering the 1st -5th grade in August of 2018.
