Join Scouts and scouters from around the Central Florida Council at the Annual Council Recognition Banquet honoring the 2017 Gene Lent Eagle Scout Class and 2018 Sheriff Jerry Demings Silver Beaver Class. The Annual Council Recognition Banquet brings together top corporate and community leaders throughout Central Florida each year to honor our Eagle Scouts for achieving the highest rank in Scouting and also 14 outstanding adult Scouters for their contributions to the Scouting program with the Silver Beaver Award.  The Silver Beaver Award is the council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. The Council Advancement Committee would like to welcome their new Staff Advisor, Matt Ragan and say a big thank you to Cory Dewell for his support and guidance.  Central Florida Council welcomed 440 new Eagle Scouts in 2017.  Unfortunately, advancement at the Cub and Boy Scout level finished the year down.  The transition to Scout Book and Scout Book Lite (when it comes on line) has caused some reporting issues.  As a reminder to units, Advancement Reports which have been submitted through Internet Advancement are to be utilized for procuring the units Rank Advancements which includes Bobcat at the Cub Scout level and Scout at the Boy Scout level. ...

Order of the Arrow, Tipisa Lodge Update

Tipisa Lodge finished the 2017 year as a Silver Lodge under the leadership of Lodge chief Ivan D. The lodge kicked off the 2018 year with chapter ordeals in January; inducting over 150 new members. The lodge hosted their annual Tipisa Native American weekend, TNAW, where more than 1,200 scouts and family members.
